About
The purpose of this website is to provide concise summaries of essential halachos for every Jew.
The intention behind this work is not to address every practical question, but rather to utilize guiding principles and practical applications to raise awareness of potential halachic issues.
I have attempted to adopt the methodology of the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch by presenting the basic guidelines of each halacha, supplemented with practical scenarios. The coverage of halacha is aligned with the topics addressed in the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, organized according to its chapters with some modifications.
The rulings generally follow the Mishna Brura and Igros Moshe. In instances where the halacha was established by earlier authorities, citations are provided from the Shulchan Aruch, Rema, Chayei Adam, and Aruch Hashulchan. In cases of dispute among later authorities, I have written what I believe the prevailing custom to be.
I have made a concerted effort to cite authoritative sources for all the halachos referenced, recognizing that no sefer on halacha can be authored without demonstrating the halachic sources. Furthermore, in many instances of disputes that may have leniencies due to alternative opinions, these are delineated in footnotes.
I hope you enjoy learning the halachos as much I enjoyed compiling them.
